My favourite ever build! I’ve been waiting for 15 odd years for a proper staff to go with my skeletor outfit! Not a build without issues as others do touch on but you can get a great staff with some persistence. Being tall I extended this to around 6 foot long by printing duplicates of the bottom few parts and turning them upside down if that makes sense (can give more details if needed). The head is superb. I printed in Bone PLA and I also added some glow in the dark paint into the eyes for added Halloween effect. I used epoxy for the dowel parts but to be honest it did suffer from various snaps due to the weight of the head. Super glue patch up has sorted it, but I wouldn’t go swinging it around the delicate flower. If you want something more sturdy might need to look at increasing the wall thickness of the various staff parts. Overall though, what can I say other than a big thanks - really impressive piece and much appreciate it being made for us to print freely.

(Part 1) Yeah I’m 6ft3 and find the size perfect for me. Unfortunately I’ve lost the print history so trying to advise here from the build plate names, which is tricky… You basically need 3 parts of the second last length piece (looks to be called “Assembly_A_A_A_B”) and then you would turn one of them upside down so you end up with the bottom of the staff going a little bit wider again at a point towards the bottom, but it’s not noticeable. So I think the layout to the build,ignoring dowels (and the repeat word “Assembly_”), would normally be: B_B -> A_B -> A_A_B -> A_A_A_B -> A_A_A_A and what you need to do is: B_B -> A_B -> A_A_B -> A_A_A_B -> reversedA_A_A_B -> A_A_A_B-> A_A_A_A Then in terms of dowels, I can’t tell from the build plate which is which, but I think I had to print the one that goes between A_A_A_B and A_A_A_A again twice, but slightly shorter length eg 98% of the dowel length.

Some parts of the staff are very fragile and broke when putting them together However if you are very careful it works All in all though it's a very clean beautiful print And the design is really great 🤩

Just printed the staff today. Waiting for my glow in the dark filament to come in for the head part. Staff already looks really good. I would like to try to add 40cm to the staff by adjusting/duplicating the lower part of the staff. I'm not really skilled yet, any chance you could help with that @pizonbongo

That is awesome! My thoughts on the subject: if you take obj_5_Assembly_A_A_A_B and change the top and bottom size to fit the obj_4_Assembly_A_A_A_A you can extend with 16cm per print of this object. Of course you'll need the connectors as well, but people could add length as they like at the bottom where it won't really be noticed.

Finally got this hung. It's just such a fragile print. I wish the pieces were thicker without adjusting settings. Could never handle this or it's gonna break.
