Description

This is a standalone magnetic socket rail that uses the Wera twist-style socket holders. Tried and true by community members, now the twist-style that you know and love is available on a modular rail. This rail fits 9 sockets, as that's what the Wera hex and torx sets come in.

This rail accepts 1"x1/2"x1/8" magnets for attaching it your ferrari/fridge/whatever. It has spaces for 5 magnets, but I have found that 3 or 4 are plenty strong enough to hold what I need to the inside of my toolbox. These are the magnets I used: https://totalelement.com/products/1-x-1-2-x-1-8-inch-strong-neodymium-rare-earth-block-magnets-n52-12-pack

Like the previous twist-style socket holders, I highly recommend waxing the sliding surfaces to reduce friction and wear, trust me they will last longer and it is worth it. Especially if you print them in the Bambu PLA Matte. This model includes spacers, which can be added as needed to keep room between your sockets.

Pay attention to which direction you insert the end caps, they have an offset bump that will fit into the detente holes on the end.

I have plans to make a 6 socket rail, as well as an 11 socket rail (The largest I think will fit diagonally on the build plate).
