Printing

  • Print Profiles attached contain all sizes and are pre colored.
  • Rings print in 3 pieces. Easily snap them together as shown in the 3rd image. You should align one side and snap the other side on.
  • Do Not force the pieces together if it is taking to much force. Instead realign and try again.
  • To disassemble reverse the assembly steps, hold one side firm and remove the outer ring at an angle.
  • Print Profiles print each part separately to save time and filament with AMS.
  • Create your own colorway by matching different filament to each color group.
  • Use your fanciest or shiniest filaments for best results.
  • All rings use the AMS for multicolor, but can be made single color or printed separately.
  • Rings are designed to be printed at a 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle.
  • 0.2mm nozzle not needed, but may give better results at the expense of time.
  • Printing times are around 20 minutes (0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle).
  • Rings may run tight due to interior roughness and print tolerances, be prepared to go up a size if it is too tight.

Improving Your Spin

  • To find the best spin you can separate the pieces, rotate/flip the parts, and put them back on. There is usually a combination with the best spin.
  • Remove any bumps around the z seems with a knife or deburring tool.
  • Fine tune your elephants foot compensation in the the print profile.

Please share your Colorways!
