Description

This customizable script is designed to create D shaft knobs. The script allows users to easily adjust various parameters, enabling the generation of knobs that fit different sizes and styles.

dang, this is such a useful tool, but i cant get it to work for my needed application. I need a hollow knob with an extended shaft like this one that ive pictured. im going to continue to try to make it work with the extended profile. I think i might be able to do it. will report back if successful. really i just need a "shaft protrusion" or "total shaft height" value. but like i. said, im testing with extended profie to make a modified replacement instead of identical.

Printed a few tests and it works great. Should simplify a repetitive design task. Parameters could use some more documentation.

Thank you for the feedback. I tried to improve the description of the parameters in the script, and in addition, I created an image of most of the adjustable parameters that I included in the description above.

Hi! Is there a way to make the shaft longer? i want it to protrude into a hole, and i can't work around walls blocking it from reaching below the bottom line

I updated the script, try it now. I hope I understood correctly what you wanted. In the "Bottom" section, now you can choose Full/Hollow/Extended.

How can the size be wrong if this is a customizable model? You set the size to whatever you need. If the size is wrong, then you made the mistake.
