Zinogre Dual Blades – A Dream Brought to Life!

The long-awaited Monster Hunter is almost here—are you ready to join the hunt?

Years ago, I came across a cosplay prop maker on YouTube crafting the incredible Zinogre Dual Blades. I was completely blown away by its design and desperately wanted one of my own. But back then, I lacked the skills to create or design anything like it.

But now—everything has changed!

I’m no longer just a Monster Hunter; I’ve mastered 3D modeling and equipped myself with multiple Bambu Lab 3D printers. Now, I’m bringing my teenage dream to life—and maybe yours too!

Designed for Easy Printing & Assembly

Using Blender, I carefully designed the entire 3D model and split the components by color to make printing easier and faster.
Since the weapon is massive, I optimized the settings for 0.28mm layer height, which maintains excellent detail while significantly reducing print time.

To minimize post-processing, I’ve strategically reduced support structures as much as possible.
Less time cleaning supports = More time enjoying your build!

Assembly Tips

  • Use glue for stronger bonds, even though I’ve included joint pegs.
  • If using glue, you can skip the pegs entirely to reduce visible seams.
  • For the handle wrap, if you have red or black fabric ribbons, feel free to use them!
    • If not, I’ve included a printable red strip that can be shaped easily after heating with a heat gun.

Final Touches

I’ve done my best to color-match the original weapon so that little to no painting is required!

Thank You!

I poured my heart into this project, pulling two all-nighters to design and print it.
It’s been a while since I’ve been this excited about a creation, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

I’m giving you 5 stars because this is impressive. feedback to make this even better!! the tan/brown pieces need an extra peg besides the single one yo better support and align the pieces the blue handle connecting to the silver part could have pegs to better secure this as well. maybe just one side. the silver handle connecting to the blue part should have a peg as well all the pegs need to be slightly shorter. maybe .4-1mm shorter depending to make the gaps almost invisible

ok 3/5 9:37 (GMT+8) Changed the length of the mortise and tenon joints in the print configuration to make the gap smaller after installation.

By the way, seeing that you printed, shaped, and attached the binding straps made me really happy! That was a little idea I hadn’t tried before, and I especially love it. :)

It's really cool to see someone bring weapons from Monster Hunter to the real world. Could the author try the weapons of "Silverwind Nargacuga" or "Kylin"?

As a veteran Monster Hunter player, I suppose Kylin Greatsword and Sword & Shield very much, Whether in games or some "exciting comics" LoL. However, according to the official setting, the greatsword of this size in 3D printed, it may be relatively fragile, after all, it is really too big. I once tried to make the Buster Sword from FF7, but my handle broke when I tried to wield it. QAQ.....

This came out amazing! 🤩I did the black strap using TPU since I wasn’t keen on shaping the PLA.

TPU is definitely a great choice—you made an excellent decision! I haven't tried printing with TPU yet, so I can only provide a more convenient option for most users: PLA, hahaha!

Thank you. 😊I understand completely. I don’t print much with TPU but had some on hand and figured I would try it. I’m afraid that I’d ruin the PLA with the heat gun since I don’t use that much either so I took my chances with the TPU. 😅

You did an amazing job! The champagne gold color looks fantastic in photos. By the way, you might think the background is ordinary, but I really love that textured brick wall—it's got a great vibe! :)

The finished product is stunning, I'm very satisfied :) However, I encountered a minor issue The connecting pieces are too long, I suggest shortening them by 0.2mm to avoid gaps Then, the yellow component encountered a spaghetti problem It is recommended to add more supports when printing For the handle, I suggest adding another connecting piece for positioning
