Zero Clearance Sliding Miter Saw Makita LS1219L-
Print Profile(4)

Description
Here is my Zero Clearance insert for the MAKITA LS1219 sliding compound miter saw.
I’ve created several print profiles:
1 – Printed vertically, 2 pieces, 0.1 mm tolerance (I printed it with my Bambulab P1S without any issues — even the fit was fine. A tiny bit of glue, if needed, won’t hurt).
2 – Printed vertically, 3 pieces, 0.2 mm tolerance (Also printed successfully on my Bambulab P1S. In my opinion, the fit is a bit loose and glue is still needed to keep it together. I increased the tolerance based on some feedback).
3 – Printed horizontally, 3 pieces joined with 3 printable screws — and optionally, a bit of glue (not required).
4 – Printed horizontally, 3 pieces with 2 alignment pins on the outer sides to be glued.
The original insert screws are enough to secure it.
The first two print profiles are printed vertically to avoid having to remove support structures.
When printed horizontally, supports are necessary but very difficult to remove without causing damage.
It’s intentionally tight, but it fits!
Remove the original, install the custom one!
With the first cut, the PLA will overheat and form small clumps, this is normal. Just remove them.
