Humidity tray for Orchids, African Violets, Bonsai Trees & other house plants.
It was bound to happen. My wife finally saw the usefulness of owning a 3D printer and asked me to create her a humidity tray. Sometimes referred to as a pebble tray, a humidity tray not only enhances the overall presentation of any plant or tree, but they also serve a practical purpose of working like a drip tray by preventing water from draining onto furniture.
Featuring a stone design with a twist to lock top, the plant tray measures 8" (203mm) round and 2" (50mm) high fully assembled. The reservoir is approximately 1.25" (31mm) deep and holds up to 16 oz of water.
Printed in Gray Bambu PETG HF. Slim tree supports are used for the locking tabs, are removed easily and any potential scarring would happen inside the tray where it won't be visible. This model can be printed without supports, but the locking tabs will get stringy and require clean-up. Printing with supports provides a much nicer end product.
