Description
The slightly different grid box:
The collapsible boxes have dimensions of 110 x 110 x 70 mm
The 3 collapsible boxes, each with a different grid structure, are printed in two parts
The box body is printed lying flat on the build plate. This has the decisive advantage that printing is faster and, most importantly, there are no overhangs, so no support is needed. Additionally, the outer surface of the box has the clean / structured finish of the build plate.
The side panels are connected to the base via thin hinge struts. After printing, the side panels can simply be folded upwards and are then secured with a U-shaped finishing rim. The rim is placed onto the box and then holds the box in shape. No glue is needed, yet the box is very stable
I have added three different designs, each on a separate build plate. The top frame is the same for all boxes and is then printed separately for each box in the desired color. The boxes are stackable
I have tested printing the boxes in PLA, ABS, and PETG-HF
