A topography of the “Tour du Mont Blanc”.
The Tour du Mont Blanc is an exceptional itinerary traversing three countries – France, Italy, and Switzerland – offering spectacular landscapes of towering peaks, alpine valleys, and imposing glaciers. This challenging yet accessible route for seasoned hikers provides a unique immersion into the heart of the Alps, where nature and exertion combine for an unforgettable experience.
The topography’s color is applied layer by layer, significantly reducing PLA waste. Further conserving PLA, the route is printed separately and then “inserted” into the map. For easier insertion, I recommend light sanding ツ
For the optional TMB “signpost”, I recommend printing with a 0.2 mm nozzle. Everything else should be printed with a standard 0.4 mm nozzle (0.12 mm layer height).
PS: I’ve included a print profile with a “blank” topography—uncolored and without the route cut out. This could be useful for other projects.
