Description

The Bulb Gripper is designed to grip and hold standard A19 light bulbs and allows you to install or uninstall light bulbs from a distance. It's threaded so should easily attach to the end of a standard house broom to allow you to get bulbs in hard to reach ceilings. I've also included a second version with slightly larger threads that should be able to attach to outside brooms or extension poles.

Some things to note

-The gripper snuggly holds around a standard A19 bulb. With that being said, it does still rely on friction so be careful when handling older or glass bulbs as there is a possibility of breaking them.

-As mentioned above, I found that generally there were 2 types of threads. Smaller threads that usually applied to indoor, house brooms. Then there are the larger threads, which usually applied to outdoor brooms, rakes etc. I've included both types of threads in the print profile. Choose the one that best fits the handle you intend to use.

-While the gripper is designed to snuggly grip a standard A19 bulb, it is still plastic so may slide on bulbs that are particularly tight in the socket. In these cases I'd suggest adding a bit more friction to the gripper by adding some electrical tape on the fingers like so

Hope this helps with those hard to reach, high ceiling bulb replacements.

Happy printing!
