Description

I updated the design shared by Dr. Rainmaker, making all of the walls 6mm thick, rounded the hook tip to match the Vari Desk Hook style, adding a slight taper (1mm) for improved grip, and added a bevel to make it easier to slide the hook onto the desk. There are two versions of the hook in the file, one with a smaller 1.25 inch grip area for Vari Desks, and a larger one designed to fit a 1.75" desk (one built from an exterior door). Only print the one you need for your size desk. Also added print profiles for 1" desk, and ¾" desk thicknesses.

Any way you could make a version for a 1" thick desk? I tried scaling it down, but then the overall length is shortened which seems to impact functionality.

I added a print profile that has a 1.0inch version of the hook. Give it a try and let me know if it works.

Adjusted model to fit my desk's thickness. So far, very sturdy. I ran the charging cable for my wireless headset through the hole to keep them together which is nice.

Strength Issue:Very weak broke two with slight downward force. Model needs improvement too because the 1.25" doesn't fit Vari Desk too loose. I added foam rubber strip and it kinda works.

Sorry you had trouble. The Vari Standing Desk has a top that is 1.25” (around 32mm). But the Pro Plus / Essential Converter Models have much thinner desktops, fiberboard‑based (~0.5″ range). Send me a measurement and I can make a new version for you. Strength has been good on many prints for me. Did you adjust any of the print parameters? Or change the orientation of the model before printing? Can you share a screenshot of the sliced model before sending to the printer? Thanks!
