Nice model and idea, but unfortunetely its hard to print the part cleanly becouse lot of supports (you can see it on second photo), but still love it.

Printed two of them but unfortunately one side of the clip broke as soon as I squeezed them. I'm adjusting print settings and trying again to see if I can make it stronger.

Darn, I'm sorry to hear that! Did you use PETG?

yes but I think it has to do more with orientation of the one clip with how it prints. The one on its side is good and the one that prints flat is the one with issues.

unfortunately the primt profile i uploaded failed as well. I'm going to make and adjustment by rotating the model slightly to get less supports and adjust how the layer lines are.

Why does it not work with PLA

From my experience, it would not retract back, or, would eventually snap. But, I also bought super cheap PLA, so maybe it would work with a lightly higher quality PLA, but I can't guarantee it.

I made it in PLA, it worked but it was extremely weak for the application, it really needs to be PETG, the first squeeze I gave it, it already broke, PLA does not withstand this type of application, but the project idea is interesting for those who work with gloves in emergency situations etc

I really wanted to have this, but it broke twice while printing. I guess I'll try one more time at a slower speed

So sorry to hear that! Did you try adding tree supports? I uploaded this when I was still new, so I didn't know that I could save the settings before uploading it.
