Sauna Ladle / Saunakauha

This is my Latest and most updated Sauna Ladle / Saunakauha.

With the arrival of the H‑Series printers, creating a usable Sauna Ladle is now as simple as loading ABS or ASA filament and pressing print.

Proven Performance

This design has been tested and proven in both electric and wood‑burning saunas.
After experimenting with multiple high‑temperature materials, plain ABS or ASA has proven to be the best all‑around choice.

Recommended Filaments

• Best overall: High‑quality ABS or ASA
  • Good durability in sauna conditions
  • The most comfortable touch, even after being heat soaked
• High‑heat option: PET‑CF or PET‑GF (Carbon Fiber or Glass Filled PET)
  • Excellent durability in sauna conditions
  • Will feel hotter than plain ABS once heat soaked, (keep in the water bucket)
• High Temp PLA
  • Good durability in sauna conditions when annealed correctly
  • Similar comfortability to touch after being heat soaked when compared to plain ABS and ASA.
  • MUST be taken care of to inhibit it from breaking down due to its biodegradable characteristics.

There are 7 sizes available.

• 198mm (A1 Mini and bigger)
• 208mm (A1 Mini and bigger) - Print Profile Available
• 283mm (Prusa MK4 and bigger)
• 315mm (A1, P1, X1 and bigger)
• 320mm (A1, P1, X1 and bigger) - Print Profile Available for H series and A1 printers only (See Note below)
• 358mm (H-series and bigger) - Print Profile Available
• 418mm (H-series and bigger) - Print Profile Available

*Note - Sorry for X and P series printer owners, I don't have these, and the auto compatibility check does not transfer sauna ladle sizes longer than 208mm from my A1 or H2D print profiles.  Although up to 320mm Sauna Ladle will fit on the X and P series bed.  For greater then 208mm, please download files and use Bambu Studio to work on X and P series Printers.
