Description

Wahoo Bolt V2 Mount with integrated GoPro Adapter

Hey folks, I was really bothered by the gap of the old Bolt V1 outfront mount. My bike's handlebars came with a Canyon style mounting nuts at the bottom. I therefore designed the mount to closely match the shape of the included traditional computer mount and added a go-pro mount at the bottom, so i could mount a camera or lights to it.

Print Settings

I orientated the tool in my P1P to 135° and printed the part with BambuLab PETG-CF. I unfortunately had multiple attempts printed before i got a version working where the adhesion of the layers were good enough. The GoPro Mount can be fragile, so i personally would recommend printing this with Nylon if possible – but I'm also a rookie on print settings and had no closed build volume, the strength of the layers could be improved maybe through other means.

I did try to print the with a 45° upwards slope to give the go-pro mounts more lines that would go into the mounting shaft, but that turned out to be a weak point during rides, so i don't recommend this.

Materials

As mentioned above, for out-door use materials that are heat resistant and tough are recommended. I have only used PETG-CF so far, but maybe ABS, ASA or Nylon (PA6, PA12) would be suitable.

Screw

I also used some very low head profile M5x15mm screws, would recommend x20mm tho, 15mm is borderline.
