after some people asked if I could make a version for 6x3mm magnets,
i have finished the files for you.

you can find these versions here https://makerworld.com/de/models/121783#profileId-131090

Automatic Z-axis Lube Helper

Easy to use easy to grease - No Supports needed

I think all the tools that are available to download here are really great, only one thing bothers me, they only lubricate one side and the threads don't get enough in my opinion, and you have to do it manually.

I thank SavageLau for the food for thought and everyone else.

Why do it manually when you can do it on the touchscreen?

That's why I developed this tool, and it works perfectly.

The height is selected so that you can use it without a buildplate. Please do it that way, because you don't want to have any fat on the plate. you can't get that down so well.

You can use it with or without magnets and it is suitable for all Z-axes (including the rear one). Of course you can also use it manually :-)

The tip at the end is there so that you can remove the excess grease from the ball bearing or clean the threads again or, if you think there is too much grease, simply wipe it out.

First print the tool (there are 2 versions, one with and one without Logo)

Next there is the option to insert magnets. if you do this, you will need some in the size 5x3mm. It also works without magnets, if none are available. These also hold the tool to the screws next to the ball bearing.

The elevations that hold the magnet fit perfectly into the recess next to the ball bearing where the screws are.

Once all this is done, we can start using the tool.

First move your heatbed downwards, then position the tool on the desired axis. Press slightly diagonally over the axis and then downwards until it sits perfectly flush.

then fill in the lubricating grease at the top. either the one supplied or a good one of your choice

next, raise the heatbed with the touchscren. be careful not to go all the way to the stop, otherwise you could damage your printer.
it's best to do it bit by bit and don't forget to add grease, as one filling won't be enough.

if you don't like the result after the first run (as we all know, tastes differ), repeat this procedure until you are satisfied.

it takes a little practice and skill, but then it works perfectly.

easy to use, easy to grease

Have fun building and greasing
