Description

iPad Air frame for models 1 & 2 , ie Apple model A1475 (7.5 mm thick 240x169.5mm)

Who doesn't have an old iPad laying around that still could do as a photo frame for your memories? At least I have two and It was a surprise to me that there are hardly nice iPad frames to be found. Most are not that nice looking or miss functionalities.

I redesigned the look of an existing frame and added integratad home button pushbutton, a desk stand, the possiblity to invisibly add a power cord, and 3 wall mount supports (either one central, or left+right). Easy and stable assembly.

The power cord, when not in use, can be put in an ‘envelope’ behind the iPad, to keep it out of sight.

I printed it in Bambu PLA Iron gray metallic (13100) on a smooth PEI plate.

iPad can fit including a right angled power cord. If needed the cord can exit down through a free space in the lower frame part

All 4 sides fit on one plate for the Bambu X1C

No screws needed; the four pieces are pulled together by excentric plugs. The desk stand puts the iPad in landscape mode at a 70 degree angle.

There is a small hole on the left through which the power button can be depressed (normally not necessary).
The home button will be operated by the integrated button in the frame, which is almost hidden by the frame's texture.

Just be ware that only the desk stand support is prone to slight warping.

When using an open printer, I would suggest adding raft/brim to prevent this.

Enjoy!
