Cute print, made it for my nephews's bird.. but I'm not sure what is with the outline around the parts?

Ah, that outline is what we call a 'skirt' in 3D printing. It helps get the nozzle ready before starting the actual print. Totally optional—you can disable it in your slicer if you want!
