Cinturino in TPU con fibbia in PLA per Casio CA53W calculator watch.

Il cinturino originale è programmato per rompersi. L'obbiettivo di questo file è sostituirlo con una versione in TPU.

A seconda del filamento usato edella qualità dei settaggi della stampante, è possibile che l'interno del cinturino resti irregolare e irritante per il polso. In tal caso, sarebbe sufficiente ammorbidire la superifice limandola.

Per attaccare la fibbia si possono riusare i perni originali, oppure un filo d'acciaio da 0.7mm.

Update as of March 15, 2021: I've been wearing this thing pretty much 24/7 for well over a year now, and there is absolutely zero wear. Everything is still perfect. That makes the quality of this printed band far superior to the originals.

I'm a huge fan of the Casio CA53W calculator watch (perhaps best known for being Marty's watch in Back to the Future), but the only problem is that the strap always breaks after a few months of my wearing it. So I modeled my own replacement strap to print as needed.

It fits the CA53W perfectly, and it should also work with any number of other watches that use the same pin size. It is inspired by the original straps on the CA53W, but it is not an exact copy, being optimized for 3D printing and having slightly thicker buckle parts for durability.

You will need to reuse the original pins to attach the straps to the watch. To assemble the buckle on the strap, use a plain-old sewing pin with a diameter of 0.75 mm and a small head. Push it all the way through, and then snip off the excess from the point end. In my experience so far, it holds in place just fine by pressure alone.

In the comparison pictures above, a CA53W with the original band is shown on the right next to my 3D printed band on the left.

Thank YOU for the ⭐​!! Due to TPU issues the best solution is probably to buy a cheap replacement strap, but 3d printing it is worth a try ;)

Happy it helped you and many thanks for the boost! :) Original design is from chuckmcknight. How is the inside of your print? I had to file it a bit because of some sharp edges hurting the skin. But maybe it's because of bad TPU.

thank you for downloading! I was having stringy issues too, and after many tries I realized it was because TPU absorbs humidity a lot!! Just opening it one time, caused the TPU to absorb it. After a drying cycle the print was perfect! Give it a try ;)
