Description

Heyho

Since some people have also asked for my ergonomic glasses to fold, I now deliver :)

Version 1: Print in Place
Here you can simply print the temples and mount them as usual.

The assembly is a little easier if you put a little kerosene on the click mechanism. To press in, it helps to fold down the bracket so as not to press directly onto the 3D printed axle.

You can scale this version with the glasses. But If you scale them down they might get very weak.

Version 2: Pin in place :)
Here you can simply take a piece of 1.75 mm filament and use it as an axis.

  1. Cut about 1 -2 cm filament off.
  2. heat one end and use a hard (cold) surface to form a mushroomhead.
  3. Let that part cool and then put it through the hole.
  4. Trim the filament piece off so there is only around 1 mm sticking out.
  5. Carefully heat that restpiece and use a hard, cold surface (butterknife) again to musrhoom it up.

You can do that before or after you clicked the click mechanism in the main frame part.

If the filament has some trouble fitting through just take a 2 mm drill and open that hole up :)

I created this as a remix because the glasses pinned with the filament are not really skaleable anylonger if you use them with these hinges. Also there would be too many single files that could irritate the average user :P

Have fun!
