Description

Introducing The Cyber Pen

This model requires stronger filaments like PETG and above. Use PLA Basic/PLA Matte at your own risk, PLA works for me but I can not guarantee all PLA brands will work .  PLA Silk is too brittle.

This is made to fit the pen insert of a pilot G2:

Available in Single-Colored and Multi-Colored variants.

Printing

  • Print Profiles attached contain a Single-Colored and Multi-Colored variant.
  • This model requires stronger filaments like PETG.
  • Use your fanciest filaments for best results, so long as its not brittle.
  • Designed to be printed at a 0.2mm layer height with a 0.4mm nozzle.
  • Printing times are around 1 - 2 hours.
  • Parts are printed at a 45 degree angle to increase vertical strength. Please don't change.
  • Brim is used (sorry) for bed adhesion, may be annoying to remove as brims can be. if need be use a knife, deburring tool, or sandpaper to remove.
  • lock/sliding mechanism will be stiff at first. There is a break in period as the defects from printing smooth out.

Assembly

  • Full assembly shown in gifs above for both single-colored and Multi-Colored variants.
  • For Multi-Colored assembly follow both gifs (Black and White pen).
  • For Single-Colored assembly follow only the second gif  (Black and White pen).
  • Multi-colored version may use glue to secure the different parts as shown in the gif. You may avoid using glue if you would like, there is plenty of clutch power between the parts, but if you would like confidence it will stay together I suggest glue.
  • To disassemble and change/remove the ink/spring wiggle the two parts apart.
