4-inch Ventilation Duct Support Clip

This is a clip that will support multiple 4-inch vent hose types at varying angles with one (or two) screws.

The mounting holes are sized for wood screws or pan-head/Tek screws.  I have found a single Tek screw to more easily endure me slamming my head into them in the crawl space…

It holds hoses relatively firmly, but allows for them to easily be removed or added without grabbing a screwdriver.

Even the PLA ones have held up for over a year, just fine.  Still, might be worthwhile to use PETG or even ABS if these are going into a hard to reach or very hot space.

The clips were made to support the foil-lined AC Infinity 4" ducts with their inline fans, but they should work with any.  I've also tested them on the all-metal, rigid ducts and they work as expected!

My print details:

• Print flat
• .2 or .3mm layer lines
  • You can go higher but I wasn't having luck with PETG at thicker layer lines
• 3+ walls for PETG
  • 4+ walls for PLA
• 20% infill - Gyroid
  • Consider raising infill for PLA
     

Two can be printed flat on an A1 Mini (180x180).

• Single unit on a Bambu A1 Mini with 0.4mm nozzle and 0.2mm layers…
  • 44 minutes without leveling
  • 6.52m or 20.69g of filament
• Pair on A1 Mini with above settings
  • 1 hour & 21 minutes without level
  • 13m or 41.31g of filament

Note that these numbers are based on using Bambu Labs Matte PLA (grey/ash)
