Shield of Elegance - Earrings

An earring inspired by the shape of a medieval shield, combining elegance with strength. Ideal for a classic style with royal influences.

This earring comes in two variations and does not require AMS. Both versions have an automatic pause at layer 15 for a single filament change.

1. Glazed Variant

This technique, which I call Glazing, uses very thin layers (0.08mm and 0.16mm) of white filament over the base color. This creates a shading effect, giving the piece a more dynamic look.

Think of it like applying a thin, translucent layer of paint that slightly alters the color underneath.

You can see the experiment in the attached image:
Starting with a red base color, I added, from left to right:

• 1 layer of 0.08mm,
• 2 layers of 0.08mm,
• 3 layers of 0.08mm,
• 4 layers of 0.08mm,

Printing Instructions:

🔹 Without AMS:

• Start the print with any base color you want.
• The printer will pause at layer 15.
• Change the filament to white for the Glazed effect or any other color for the Solid version (you can experiment with creative color combinations).

🔹 With AMS:

• I removed the pause set at layer 15.
• Select a color for Base object ( the Earring base color)
• Select color to white for the “Top Object” (or any other colors for the Solid version).
