Description

If you own, or have watched videos on the Sovol SH02 dryer, you know it can get quite hot on the bottom. There isn't much room from the bottom of it to whatever surface it sits on. I didn't like that, so I made this riser.

The riser is 30mm tall and there are recesses (2mm deep) for the feet of the dryer to sit in so it stays in position. The feet on the dryer are roughly 3mm, so it sits flush to nearly flush. The feet of the riser have recesses for 19mm diameter by 5mm thick pads. You can run thicker pads since it is 3.5mm deep, but I wanted minimal height. In the middle of the base, you can add a 120mmx15mm fan. I am going to use the Noctua NF-A12x15. The space between the middle feet is cut out for the fan to fit.

I printed this on the A1 with Inland ASA (seems to be rebranded Polymaker) and used Magigoo Original. I ran low speed and basically never had part cooler come on. The settings I used was my second try in a cool basement (roughly 68F). Second try ran great, but definitely could use some slower heat loss (heater or enclosure) once it is finished. It wanted to buckle, but has enough flex to bend back to shape when I put the dryer on it.

With that, this was my first try using ASA and the fit was perfect. The dryer fit very snug to the recess and riser looks flush. The felt feet I added fit perfectly as well. I had the felt laying around, but I am fairly positive I bought them from Lowes for furniture/cabinets. The fan screws could be very tight as mine were. Still work really well.
