Description

This is a sturdy coat hanger designed for tactical vests because they keep falling off regular coat hangers. The hooks on the sides keep the vest from falling off. You should choose the infill based on the weight of your vest, for mine i used 10% Gyroid infill. The dovetails on the model snap in place and stay there like a press fit, i didnt need glue on mine but if your printers tolerances are bigger a drop of glue could be useful

If you like the model a boost would be greately appreciated, thank you :)

I have a problem; it does not hold up over time and disassembles

Made this after the vest broke or bent several other hangars. I expect I’ll be making them for the entire posse.

Thanks so much. I have read a few comments about the joints getting loose so i would recommend you to print the others with more infill and use superglue on the joints

I used a few drops of super glue on each joint (and a drop on my finger, smh) and its holding together very nicely.

The design is nice. Prints great and I have about 25 pounds hanging on it now. FLASHFORGE PETG-CF 8 WALLS SOLID INFILL. 😁 When I get my next BOOST it's yours!!!!!!

Took quite a lot of force to press the three parts together but it worked in the end. Super well made!

Not heavy duty! I foreseen this happening and printed in PETG with 4 walls instead of the 2 in your profile. Even this was not enough to hold a messily 25 pound training vest. The joint will always be an issue, going to go with a smaller single piece design instead.

Great print but any suggestions on how to make the top layer look a bit smoother? Thank you!

Hrmmm... How's it hold up to a carrier w/ a full set of AR600 plates, magazines, radio pouch and back pack? LoL. I'll try it with 65% infill and let ya know.

Printed in PETG with 65% infill and glued the joints with 5min. epoxy. Hung the carrier about an hour ago and so far so good. Cool!

Is it still holding?

I ended up printing a couple of shoulder pieces to both reinforce the hanger and be a bit kinder to the padding in the shoulder straps. I epoxied these to the hangers and both my kits are still hangin' happy. This is just the first iteration of the reinforcements and I may refine it a bit and upload the model to Makerworld. these turned out to be an unnecessarily tight fit. As pictured the whole thing is 20 something pounds and there are still a few things not on it so the added pieces just make me feel more warm and fuzzy about the arrangement.
