Boost Me (for free)

This is a replacement battery cover based on the one found on Thingiverse made for the LG Magic Remote Model #AN-MR19BA. Credit to original design for n33kos - https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5555282

Alas, I found it didn't fit my specific version of the remote, the #AN-MR600.

I'm fairly new to 3D printing (started last December) but still took the opportunity to tweak the provided blender file to modify size and fit for my specific remote.

It was mostly “hand-sculpted”, adjusting specifics vectors, not using any parametric tweaks, so “it isn't a pretty model”. It does however work and fit the remote, so I'm quite pleased with the outcome as I find the opportunity to use the printer to solve/replace everyday household parts quite satisfying.

If you can feel free to remix and improve upon, still hope it serves those in my situation with a functional battery replacement cover for this specific remote model, #AN-MR600.

Printed in PETG for added material strength, using the A1's Generic PETG profile.

I originally got a silicone wrapper for the controller once this broke - but a new cover is much better! The bottom is not perfectly flat, but that does not really matter here at all.

Hi. Appreciate the feedback but could you please check your remote model? As stated in the Description I myself had found other covers for different remote versions that didn't quite fit my remote so I had to adapt this one to fit. And it fits perfectly as per images and other users' feedbacks. So might it be that your remote is of a different version? If so, can you please confirm and adjust your rating? Appreciated!
