I created this cube to make a restaurant centerpiece smart and useful at the same time, functioning as a table marker and a digital menu.
It is ideal for use in restaurants, at event receptions, or in professional environments where seat recognition is necessary.
The cube is composed of faces that fit together perfectly without the need for glue. Once all the faces are assembled, it becomes a very sturdy cube.
I also performed crash tests by dropping the cube from table height and also by throwing it in the air from about two and a half meters.
The project I published is free of any logos or menu QR codes. It consists of 80 table numbers.
My idea for customizing the cube was to put the logo on the top face, two side faces for the same table number, and I dedicated the other two side faces to QR codes, one side for the wine list and the other for the menu.
On the bottom face, I put the QR code of my logo which links to my contacts (a little advertising never hurts ;-)).
I printed all sides with the face resting on the build plate to give a uniform texture effect everywhere.
I created the QR codes with Bytescout barcode generator (download link: https://bytescout.com/products/enduser/misc/barcodegenerator.html ).
The QR codes and all logos are 0.4 mm high, sufficient to have a clear separation between colors.
I set the color sequence to print white first and then black to try to have as little contamination as possible from the darker color.
