Description

The Bit Coin Bank is a 3D-printable coin bank designed to resemble 1/4” drive bits, scaled up 10x. It offers a functional and tool-inspired way to store spare change.

Features:

  • Four Individual Banks – Each bank is modeled after a different bit style (Phillips, Slotted, Torx, Robertson).
  • Alternate Models Without Slots - If coins aren't your thing, alternate versions are provided.
  • Secure Plug System – Each bank has a screw-on bottom plug.
  • Modular Holder – A two- or three-position holder is available, designed to resemble standard bit holders.
  • Simple and Functional Design – Inspired by real tools, making it a great addition to any workspace or garage.

Printing Details:

  • No supports required
  • Prints well in PLA, though other materials will likely print well
  • Designed to print at 100% scale - the bank walls are four perimeters thick (at 0.4mm) and print without any infill.

Other Notes:

  • Compatible screws (untested): https://makerworld.com/en/models/1110482
  • I'd be happy to create other bit types - just send me a note
  • Printing the holder with a 0.6mm or 0.8mm nozzle should result in quicker print times - I didn't print any samples with these nozzles, however, so cannot say if they will print nicely or not
  • While the holder is limited to 3 holes for the print bed on an A1, I have ways to generate longer models and have a variant that glues together. I'd be happy to upload files, but these will be untested prints.
  • Not to be confused with BitCoin

A practical and unique way to store coins - with a design that tool enthusiasts will appreciate.
