Description

Read the following instructions before printing. This stand will lift your Essenza mini by 80mm higher while reusing the original drip tray. The updated maximum cup height that will fit under the machine with the stand is 165mm with this stand.

Compatible with : the "square" top machines C30.  This will not fit the triangular style machines. Both machines are called Essenza Mini, but if your machine is not like my photos, it will not fit.

Pod storage :  The base storage can take 8 pods (4 on each side) but, read carefully here ... be informed that to insert a pod, you must drop the pod at a 45 degree angle in the rack.  This is not a design mistake, this is because a 3D printer cannot print horizontal surfaces in mid air. Angles steeper than 45 degrees don't print correctly without adding external temporary supports and I try to avoid supports in my designs. My model prints with no supports, so this 45deg internal wall of the pod rack is to allow the 3D printer to reach the top horizontal surface with a gradual progressive angle.  So please, don't comment or downrate my design if your don't understand this 3D printing limitation.

Assembly : Push the "rear  base" into the "front base".  Holes have "spring" arms to help the fit. The fit will vary a lot with your material type, printing temperature etc.

Drip diverter :  An drip diverter is included in the file with little "side grabs" to empty the pods trash bin. This base stand will offset the drip tray by 14mm off the machine.  This means the coffee drips, after the pour, will no longer fall right into the square opening in the drip tray.  I included a little drip diverter, but it will not redirect drips in the drip tray because it's only 14mm thick.  If the diverter would be thicker, larger mugs would not fit anymore under the machine nozzle. So the diverter will divert the drip, but most likely drips will not fall into the drip tray. Again here, don't comment or downrate my design if your don't understand this limitation.

Printing :

  • This is a big print, around 500g (half a spool).
  • No supports required for all the objects, no post-processing, just print, clip and use.
  • The model is composed of 3 objects to fit the smaller built plates like the A1.
  • The file is for a solid color.  It is shown in White with a custom black band for the photos, but a darker colors like brown or black is more suited for coffee drips.
  • Modifiers : In the print file, you will see yellow square objects floating over the parts, they are "modifiers".  Modifiers will not be printed, they tell the "slicer" to change the infill % where the Essenza Mini foot will be resting.  The infill is more strong where the machine will pressure the base and the rest is just typical infill.  This is to save printing time and material by using infill only where it matters.

Adapt the print material for your intended use : PETG, ASA, etc.
