This 3D printable mount is designed to attach an ESP32-CAM to your water meter, enabling AI-powered meter reading for home automation systems like Home Assistant. The design works with the AI On The Edge Device project.

Features:

  • Secure mount for ESP32-CAM module
  • Easy access to SD card and USB port
  • Suitable for belgian residential water meters (if you have screws holes)
  • Designed for optimal focus distance for meter reading
  • Protection from moisture and dust
  • Simple screwed assembly, 2* M2.5x8mm required and 4* 3x6mm round magnets

This mount is part of a larger DIY project that uses artificial intelligence to read analog meters. Compatible with the AI On The Edge Device project. Open source and free to use.

I just printed it, it's fantastic! However, I can't find the top cover :) An oversight? I suspect it wouldn't be overly complex to model, but being a complete beginner, I find it challenging with my limited skills :)

Replying to @TomsBasement :
Many thanks Similarly, lacking a nearby power outlet for my water meter, and having battery holders (4x1.5V), I thought I could make it work without a plug ^^ Unfortunately, I suspect that updating every 5 minutes, especially with AI, would drain the battery too quickly. In fact, my battery-powered module didn't last a single evening

I printed it in white and the lid in transparent. The light is well diffused. It works perfectly
