Serious pool players take great care of their equipment and there is no piece of equipment more vital than your cue stick. Keep your cue's handy and ready for play with this portable, folding cue claw. Unfold the "wings" and place it on the edge of a table or other nearby flat surface and you're ready to go. Can hold up to 4 pool cues simultaneously. Folds up for easy storage and portability. The top of the cue rest has several compartments to hold other vital components to a great game of pool:
- 2 slots for chalk
- A slot to hold your phone
- A wide area to hold tools/pocket markers/whatever you need handy
- And a slot to hold about $5 worth of quarters
The bottom has an open area (that's what the separate lid is for) that you can fill with weight of some kind. I use BB's (like for a BB gun) to fill the cavity then pour some clear cast epoxy in to hold it all in place. Make sure the cavity is completely filled with the epoxy (give it a minute to settle between the BBs and if it's not full add a bit more until it is) so the BBs don't rattle around. Place the lid into the groove before the epoxy begins to dry and it will glue it into place as it cures.
To make this model perfect and really protect your cues and the surfaces you set it on I use 1mm thick stick-on foam padding on the bottom. The arms still fold perfectly as long as the padding is only 1mm thick. I use these and cut them to fit. I also cut small (25x40mm) pieces to place inside the cue holder grooves.
Finally there are slots for 4x 8mm magnets, two on top of each “wing”. Glue magnets in place here to help hold everything closed when folded up for transport or storage.(Make SURE you get the polarity right so the magnets don't repel each other!)

There are TWO plates included. The first is just a blank version and the second has my shop logo on it. Choose whichever you prefer. The one with the logo only requires 5-6 color changes and adds about 20-30 minutes to overall print time. Feel free to use your own image or logo in it's place.
Printing details:
Layer height: .2mm
Infill: 15% Gyroid
Support: I have included supports in the model where needed. Basically the arches, and the back wall of each compartment need support (since it's printed upright). Some printers, like the A1, can bridge these gaps but I feel it looks slightly better by including the support. YMMV so use them or don't as you see fit.
