I work at Epcot and Spaceship Earth is one of my attractions. I printed one out to put in my shop and now have co-workers asking me to print them one!

I work in maintenance, so behind the scenes for the most part. My responsibilities are audio, video, and show control. I do enjoy working with that. The weather is beautiful this time of year but the summers get, shall we say heated.

I did not. DIdn't know enough back then to even try ;) (In fact, I'm pretty sure I was using Bambu's standard settings for regular - not silk - PLA.)

Not saying this is designers fault at all, but I had one failed print and one that I stopped because I could see the overhangs were drooping. If anyone has any tips I'd love to hear them. I'm new to printing so I think I probably botched something in the slicer settings trying to optimize this print. My first print I think I adjusted the support threshold angle down to avoid having too many supports to remove, the result was about 1/4 of the way into the print the overhangs on the outer walls started to droop so I stopped the print. For my next attempt I bumped the support threshold angle back up to 25 which created supports that look more like the pictures in the comments. This one was going great until the final 1/8th of the print where the inner supports turned into a loose crosshatch pattern. The end result was a layer shift. I believe the crosshatch pattern started to curl up somewhere and the printer collided with it causing the layer shift. Photos of my second print below.

Hello! If there are difficulties with the top part printing, I would say the easiest solution would be remove the modifier making it hollow and set the infill pretty low on gyroid (5% should be fine). The other possibility could be the filament needs drying or there were temperature fluctuations while it was printing.

Great print. Used Bambu Silk Silver. Some imperfections on the bottom where it appears some supports failed, but you cannot see the issues unless you’re looking for it. While displayed, you cannot tell. highly recommend.

Wife absolutely loves this. Did it in Bambu Lab PLA Silk Aurora Purple on A1, slowed down the outer wall print speed to 40 and put it in silent mode (50% speed).

really well done. removed one star as the portion of the sphere that prints inside the ramp comes out as spaghetti. otherwise good job.
