Description

Honeycomb/Cellular Shades Repair Parts

If you have these no string, cellular shades and they start just falling and not stopping when you lift them, you probably have the same problem that I ran into. The plastic hooks that hold the spring in the top of the shade broke, and look something like this.

Firstly, remove the blind and drill the rivets out of the one hook.

Next, use a dremel and carefully sand the broken hook on the pulley assembly flat.

After printing the parts, attach the pulley side hook with some super glue (Be careful not to get any on the strings in the pulley area).

Next, place the other hook in position and install with new rivets.

Lastly, attach the spring to one hook and using a pair of pliers pull it to the other hook.

(Note the spring is fairly strong so be careful. Also it is easier if you collapse the blind all the way and roll the pulley as close as you can get it to the other hook before trying to attach the spring. This will make the gap between the 2 hooks smaller)

Also I made mine out of PLA-CF, but you can try other materials if you want. Thank you and I hope this helps.
