3D-Printed Railroad Crossing with Working Gate

This custom 3D-printed railroad crossing is designed to enhance an MTH RailKing model train setup by adding a detailed and interactive road crossing. The design features a manually operable crossing gate and a railroad crossing sign, creating a realistic and engaging addition to the train layout.

Features & Components:

1. Working Crossing Gate:
   • The crossing arm is hinged, allowing it to be lifted and lowered manually.
   • Embossed text on the gate reads “STOP FOR TRAIN”, enhancing realism.
   • Mounted on a small pivot base for smooth movement.
2. Railroad Crossing Sign:
   • Includes the classic “crossbuck” design with two black warning lights.
   • Small base for secure placement near the road section.
3. Raised Roadway with Ramps:
   • The road surface is designed to sit flush with the track, allowing smooth vehicle passage.
   • Textured surfaces simulate asphalt and pavement.
4. Modular One-Piece Road Design:
   • The crossing is designed as a single piece to fit around the track seamlessly. 
5. Multi-Color Printing for Detail:
   • Different colors were used to enhance visibility and realism, including red for the gate, black for the road, and white for the ramps and signage.
