Description

Couldn't find a starting gate so I made one from scratch. Used small magnet to hold up lever and easily release. The 2 track pegs insert to the bottom of the track portion and when everything it put together they prevent the lever from moving side to side. super glued the box together. Track has connector inserts on each side for clamp and is slightly longer than the straight track i have to for floor height adjustments. Might make adjustments later but works well currently. Tweaked the design to fit more car sizes

The prints works well. The support were a bit of a nightmare to remove but got them out. If you ever upgrade your design please add the half circles in the top part and the smaller round hole for the connectors. I used AC glue to keep the connectors on. Maybe a slit on the bottom so it can be used with the starting gate clamp. I also installed two magnets 8mm and it stays real good with them. Add the recess for the magnets and include the other items from above and you have a real winner. A fourth lane would be nice. As far as assembly it went together well by sliding one pin all the way through and gently pressing the tab down through the square hole. Sorry no photo as I shipped it out west to the grandkids on Monday.

it's easy to put together. I slid the one end (of the drop arm) as far as I could into the slot and gently pressed the other side in by.pushing down in the center and slowly pressing down at the end until it clicked in the other slot. the magnets were simply glued with some super glue to keep the car stopper up. I think I used 8mm magnets so you'd need four. look at Amazon for 8mm round magnets. Just make sure you make the polarity is pull, not push. As mentioned I did this for my grandson a year ago so can't give you pictures.

this whole track that I made was one of the first things I designed and slowly developing a version 2. unfortunately it's not my primary job so it's taking quite some time

Design works fine, but it could benefit from some snap features for assembly. If done correctly, this could even just be a print in place model
