Updatees:

Introducing Trash Can Attachment V3 – Rectangular, Stronger, and More Efficient!

I've re-engineered thedesign based on your feedback to bring you a trash can attachment that's tougher, more versatile, and easier to print:

  • New Rectangular Form & Reduced Filament: A redesigned clip bag holder now uses less filament while delivering superior strength.
  • Redesigned Clamp Bolt: Enjoy a much better grip on your table with our longer, wider clamp bolt.
  • Enhanced Structural Integrity: Extra ribs under the dovetail connection and optimized print orientation boost overall durability.
  • Versatility for Bigger Cans: Multiple new sizes have been added to accommodate larger trash cans.
  • Adapter Included: Seamlessly upgrade without discarding your old attachment. (make sure you use the bigger base fore the new bolt as it is longer).

Replying to @yuvalh :
At the moment, it seems like a yes, and the bag is not light… This is in PLA; if it will breaks, I’ll try printing it in PETG.

I printed the 200x200 on my A1 printer and the clips were way to big and slopped all around. So I reduced them to the the following sizes: 95%, 90%, 85%, and finally 80% the 80% fit nice and snug. I also added furniture glides to the clamp you can see all this in the photos attached. I added 8 clamps to the bracket because the plastic bag rips very easy and would have torn under the weight. I added the furniture glides also because the screw was a little short for my table may want to consider making it a little longer, mine is still a little loose . Really nice in all.

Upon completion of printing, several issues became apparent Firstly, the bolt's fastening point and the outermost lever arm proved excessively long, resulting in upward tilting of the rear section upon minimal distal pressure Secondly, the revised fastening mechanism remains inadequate for securing trash bags, a 2mm gap measured between them precluding effective compression of thinner plastic bags

lol ran out of filament half way thru but overall great print if creator can make a groove on the frame(crude cross section drawn in pic) so the bag can be secured with a rubber band that would be great. or if there is a way to replace the clips overall since if you are throwing away something sticky (like yogurt) it doesnt get on the clips since they are currently exposed printed in sunlu petg

The screw could not be inserted The screw thread is too large, and the parts broke I then printed with 100% infill and had to carefully rotate it back and forth to insert it, applying slight force to the screw to make it turn on the second print The screw broke on the first print, see photo

I'd love to help! This exact screw and threading have been successfully printed and used by around 1,500 people, possibly more if you count my previous version with the same dimensions. It looks like a failed print. Could you share your print settings and a close up of the threading?

I'll adapt to my predecessors, the clips don't fit, but I've glued in a bit of acoustic tape from drywall and now there's tension. Printed with Creality PETG. Only the thread and the screw needed a little attention with a file and fit due to the support. All in all, a great result

great and clean. I used bambu basic pla. didn’t have petg. but I have suggestion for the bottom part where the bolt connects to the sphere shape on top the neck of that ball shape connection is a bit weak. if that can get thicker the way that cover top half of the hallo sphere it will be excellent. the clips were ok in my opinion. great job. it’s still 5 stars
