Description

I wanted to build a launch control board to use with my kids to make the launch sequence for our model rockets more memorable.

I figured out the components and wiring that fits perfectly, and I have included a link to purchase everything here, or use the template as a starting point to customize it to your own needs.

Here are the specific components I used: https://amzn.to/4htBzXk

I am building a wiring diagram that I will include here when it's finished.

Printed great! Looks fantastic in 4 color print! I made mods that reduced the size a little, added features on the side to wind the wires, adjusted hole sizes for specific component sizes and added standoffs on the cover inside to mount the terminal strips. Also modified schematic to add current limiting resistors to the LEDs, especially the continuity check circuit.

That looks great! Depending on which LED's you are using, they should already have current limiting resistors built in, but it never hurts to check or add extra as precaution.

Would like to see it as a remix!

I made additional changes since this pictures: eliminated the power strips, added a small prototype board to hold the current limiting resistors and distribute the power, moved and resized the standoffs for the PCB, extended the length of the wire wrap feature to better fit the wire, and switched the material from PLA to PETG for better heat resistance. Printed two more for ARC teams. I've never posted a remix but I'll figure it out and post it later.

everything printed great and the parts list was perfect - thanks for posting this - I went ahead and used the basic box and made a quick rocket parts box to match.

Awesome project for the kids rocket launches. I am using an external battery so just wired the battery charge port as external battery power coming in.
