Photo frame 10x15 that can be assembled like a puzzle, different combinations possible with many colors to create your personalized frame.
While I was preparing my baby's room, it occurred to me to make photo frames to hang on the wall or wardrobe and since he loves puzzles so much, why not put both things together?
I then created photo frames in 10x15 cm (3,9x5,9 inches) format that could be assembled like a puzzle, hung on the wall or placed on a surface.
It is possible to assemble a single frame but also a multiple one. For example by placing two of them side by side it will become a double frame, by combining 4 it will become a big panel and so on...
There are "endless" possible combinations for building a puzzle frame!
For "multiple" combinations it is necessary to use the accessory components such as the T corner (corner_T.stl) or the cross corner (corner_X.stl) and the two straight pieces but with double housing (short_double.stl and long_double. stl).
The photo is locked inside the frame through a back cover (back_holder.stl) inserted through joints.
To hang the frame on the wall it is necessary the component (wall_support.stl) that fits into the long or short part, so it’s possible to put the frame both vertically and horizontally, and then glue it on the wall using double-sided tape.
The support is interlocking, and allows to change photos or swap frames by simply detaching them from the support, which will remain glued to the wall for reattaching them later.
I also created a support with a hole (wall_support_hole.stl) to hang the frames with a nail or screw.
To place the frame on a surface like a piece of furniture or a shelf, I created a stand (stand.stl) that fits like the wall support and gives the correct angle to the photo.
Print instructions
All parts are already oriented correctly for printing, no support needed
I recommend printing a textured sheet to have the spectacular effect in the visible part of the frame.
The parts of the "puzzle" have been designed with close tolerance to avoid unwanted movement, so it may take some force to fit them together. If necessary I can load the parts with a higher tolerance.
