Here’s a very, very, very useful tool.
After buying a 3D printer, you might find yourself needing to create replacement parts for damaged models (or add bases to models lacking them).
But here’s the most frustrating part: you discover you don’t know the exact size of the dowel!
Okay…[Buy a caliper]. (Humorous aside)
Just when you think you’ve got it all figured out, you find that the dimensions printed using your caliper measurements don’t fit!? (Humorous aside)
After some research, you realize that [different filaments have different shrinkage rates, resulting in variations between the measured and actual dimensions!]
Now you understand why you need this, right? ~~~~ HAHAHAHAHA
Simply print one of these using the filament you want to test, and you can happily test your dowels!
- Provides ten sizes with diameters ranging from 1.8mm to 3.0mm for small holes.
- Very easy to print.
- Note: Different materials have different shrinkage rates!! Print one for each material!!!
