Plane Screwdriver (Classic Design)
Print Profile(1)

Description
One for the hand tool woodworking enthusiasts.
A screwdriver for your hand planes. Inspired by the likes of Veritas/Lee Valley and Matt Estlea in a classic woodturning design. Here you have a tool to make adjustment to your hand plane blades quickly, easily, and comfortably. This makes quick and easy work of adjusting the screw that secures your cap iron (chipbreaker) to your plane iron (blade), but it can also adjust other large screws the fit into the flathead (see shoulder plane).
The modular design allows the flathead piece to be replaceable as it will inevitably become warped or chewed up. Printing the flathead in PETG should extend the life and only requires 1 gram of filament.
See the diagram for basic assembly. If the cap feels tight in the threads, rotate it in and out several times and it will get loose. You do not need to crank it down to secure the flathead piece!

Body and cap can be printed in PLA.
