Robot Vacuum Ramp for Norsk-Stor Foam Mats

Description:
This robot vacuum ramp is designed specifically for Norsk-Stor reversible foam mats from Costco, which are 0.79 inches high. Many robot vacuums struggle to climb these mats, so I created a dovetail interlocking ramp to provide a smooth transition without interfering with the modular nature of the mats.

The ramp is 1.5 inches long and 0.7 inches high. It consists of five 9.4-inch sections that combine to a total width of 47 inches, ensuring coverage for wider mat layouts. The dovetail connectors allow for secure assembly while keeping the design flexible.

To attach the ramp to the mats, I am testing glue or double-sided tape for the best adhesion method.

• Material Tested: PLA, PLA-CF, TPU-AMS, PETG-CF
  • Best Performance: PLA-CF (durability and rigidity)
  • Currently testing PETG-CF for added strength and flexibility
