Description

Up next, Indiana! Not as “interesting” as some other states we have seen but Indiana still has many cool geographical features such as the impact of great lakes on the north-west part of the state.

If you like this project and want to see more, give this model a like and follow along to see your state soon! It's been motivating seeing how many people are following on this project!

Print Settings

This was modeled and printed with a 0.4 nozzle and I find the terrain details amazing already. Using a 0.2 nozzle may provide additional details but might not be worth the extra time taken to print. I have also uploaded a larger model in the same print profile which is larger than the scaled version. This is better suited for a one of display. I increased the vertical exaggeration on the detailed model due to the “flatness” of the state.

I have also increased the elephant foot compensation as I noticed it being an issue when trying to fit states together. This is very filament dependent so it may take a few adjustments for you to get the ideal setting for your filament printer combo.

This is a big and detailed model, be patient when slicing. Please ensure your bed is clean for proper adhesion, a brim is not recommended as it will be a pain to properly remove due to the tiny curves/angles of the model. Ironing on for the best looking terrain!
