Description

🛠️ 2x4 & 2x2 – The Classic Building Blocks 1:10
Scale Conversion Guide – Adjusting this 1:10 model to other scales in the bottom!

No workshop, construction site, or DIY project is complete without 2x4s and 2x2s. Whether you need structural elements for a diorama, realistic scenery details, or just some background clutter, these scaled-down timber pieces bring that authentic look to any setting.
Resting here perfectly on the lekka block.

🛠️ Printing & Scaling – Simple & Efficient

✔️ Print flat for the strongest result and cleanest edges.
✔️ Need it longer? Scale it only along the length to maintain correct proportions.
✔️ Dovetail cuts make it easy to join multiple sections seamlessly.
✔️ Use 0.6 at 0.36 for faster print and more texture.

🔥 Post-Processing Tips – Get That Real Wood Look

✔️ Grain Texture Hack – Lightly sand the surface with fine-grit sandpaper before priming to create a subtle wood grain effect. For a more pronounced texture, use coarser sandpaper and sand in the direction of the grain.
✔️ Stain or Dry Brush – Use a light brown base coat, then dry-brush darker tones to bring out texture.
✔️ Aged & Weathered – Add small dents with a blunt tool and sponge on some watered-down black/brown paint for that "been in the yard too long" look.

⚠️ PS: I Know It’s Boring, But… It’s to Scale!

Yeah, it’s just a 2x4, but it’s a perfectly scaled 2x4! And that’s what really matters. Whether it’s for a diorama, background clutter, or just because you need tiny lumber, this one’s spot on.

📏 Scale Conversion Guide – Adjusting This 1:10 Model to Other Scales

Need to resize your 1:10 models for different RC and miniature scales? Use this guide to scale up or down easily. Just multiply your original dimensions by the conversion factor below!

Target ScaleConversion FactorScale Percentage
1:5200%2,0
1:8125%1,25
1:1283,33%0,8333
1:1471,43%0,7143
1:1662,5%0,625
1:1855,56%0,5556
1:2441,67%0,4167
1:3528,57%0,2857
1:4820,83%0,2083

💡 How to Use This:

  • Scaling Up (e.g., 1:10 → 1:8): Multiply by 1,25.
  • Scaling Down (e.g., 1:10 → 1:14): Multiply by 0,7143.

🔧 Example: If your 1:10 model part is 100mm long and you need it in 1:14 scale, do:
100mm × 0,7143 = 71,43mm

Now you (and everyone else) can easily adjust any 1:10 model to different RC or miniature scales! 🚀

Happy printing! 😊
