Introducing the Custom Socket Spanner Generator – my very first project of this kind, designed to allow you to create customized adapters for your ratchet! After completing the Key Ring Ratchet Tool for my keychain, I realized that the size didn’t suit all of the different tasks I needed it for. To address this, I created this script, enabling anyone to easily design and print their own adapter with tailored dimensions and features.

This tool is fully compatible with my Key Ring Ratchet Tool as well as any other ratchet. Whether you're using my model or another ratchet, you can customize the adapter to fit perfectly. The script supports both ratchet and nut types, so you can adjust the size of the nut and socket to your liking. There’s also an option to add a hole through the adapter, making it compatible with bolts – perfect for use with my Pocket Ratchet model or any other tool you want to adapt.

One of the key aspects of this project is that it accounts for the countless variations of ratchets, ensuring all can be printed easily. The customization options include:

• Thickness: Affects the overall height, wall thickness, and whether a hole through the adapter is possible.
• Form Selection: Choose between a Ratchet or Nut.
• Size: Adjust the size of the nut and socket to fit your needs.

It’s important to note, however, that this is a 3D print and not a professional tool. While designed for practical use, it’s not intended to fully replace high-end mechanical tools.

This is my first such project, and it’s a great way to make sure you have a custom-fit adapter for your ratchet, whether it’s for my Key Ring Ratchet Tool or any other ratchet you use. With this generator, you’ll have the flexibility to always be prepared and have a tool that fits your specific needs.
