Pre-Columbian deity, statue, circa 1200 CE

3D scan of a pre-Columbian deity or cacique (Amerindian king). The statue was found in Central America and is probably from around 1200 AD. So far, there are no well-founded archaeological studies on the findings of the Mesoamerican high cultures concerning their classification. This statue was probably made by the Chorotega people; the discovery site is near Ometepe Island in Lake Nicaragua. The Chorotega are a related high culture of the Mayas from Guatemala and Mexico. Meanwhile, pyramids have also been found in Nicaragua, but they have not yet been opened for viewing.
