Description

This is a arrow shaft cutting jig designed to have a precise clean cut for the carbon shaft.   The cutting disc should be at least 38mm in diameter.  The shield for 40, 50, and 60mm disc are provided.   The nock receiver is same as the Beizenberger.  It can be use in the Beizenberger jig.   The drive shaft, which is used for adjusting the cut depth, is a left-handed thread; therefore, turning it clockwise will back out the screw.  The model is designed with very high printer precision.  The printer tolerance has to be within 0.1mm.   I printed everything in 0.16mm layer height with 25% infill.  Higher infill is okay.

Update: Brass insert (M3xH6) were used at Dremel clamp, Shield screw, and the drive shaft carrier.

The model is great, but I have a Dremel 3000 and it's too wide for the clamp I'm trying to modify the model but I'm very new to Fusion 360 could you help me

I don't know Fusion 360. Sorry. You should able to import the STEP file to modify for your need.

Really nice design. Would have been great to have more Information, though Didn't fit my Dremel 8260 and my Ruthex M3 inserts were to loose for the Dremel clamp. Thinking about remixing it for a Micromot or a GS-775M spindle

I have included the STEP file for the top section. Feel free to modify it for your need. If the size is just off a little bit, you could just make that red ring thicker.

Thanks, I cobbled something together, still a WIP and I'm adding a dust extraction at the moment. Mind if I upload it once the kinks are ironed out?

This is a great design and I am going to attempt to print it today. This is the first mini lathe I’ve ever seen That allows you to customize the length. By any chance is this a remix of another design?I was thinking of printing everything but the tracks because I have a 10 foot piece of Unistrut(USA) 2 5/8” that I would like to add this to. thoughts? (I am only two months into learning how to 3-D print and starting to learn fusion 360 and hoping to learn how to collaborate with people)

You could just print 2 blue rails. One connected to the Dremel base station and the other one on a pre-determined distance from the cutter. That should give you about 6 inches of adjustment. My original design is to mount this entire apparatus onto a piece of 6" x 48" board. As for the design, there is only so many reasonable variations with a Dremel. Everyone tends to come to the same conclusion as it is a logical design; therefore, there will be some similarities to other designs.

Printed great, just ordered the same Dremel tool you are using as mine didn't fit, no big deal. But it would be nice if you posted a small video clip of using the jig. Any chance you could do that?
