Zipper Z1 Folding clothes zipper + v2

Folding zipper for clothes.
Assembling a new zipper is as quick as fastening it.

Two sizes. Larger for the jacket and smaller for the sweatshirt.

You only need an M2x8* screw.
The four parts are printed in 15 minutes.

Assembly is trivially simple. You put the lower part under the zipper, put the upper part on, insert the hook and the thing that pulls. Screw in the screw and that's it. Your clothes are usable again.

It is best to use a screw with a thicker thread, but one for nuts will also work.

If you want, you can use a little glue on the tip of the screw.

I encourage you to create custom zipper pullers. That's why I'm providing a STEP file for editing.

Contrary to appearances, the pulling part is very strong.

Printing with carbon fiber filament would probably be more suitable. Unfortunately I don't have PLA CF so I didn't add such a profile.

The letter S denotes a small size, a zipper used in sweatshirts. The letter L denotes a large size, used in jackets.

Update! 02.02.2025

Outdated files have been moved to a separate folder.

Added Z1 PRO version, which uses an M2x3 threaded insert. Thanks to this, the durability has increased significantly. The Z1 PRO version uses an M2x10 screw.
In the Z1 regular version, the hook shape has been changed, which slightly reduces the probability of breakage when tightening the screw.

Update 04.02.2025!!! New generation (v2).
Attention, after several dozen prints, almost as many folds, and several hundred zips and pulls of the Z1 and PRO versions, several shortcomings came to light. All detected problems have been fixed. In addition, the Z1 v2 version (without PRO) received geometry from the PRO version. Both versions differ only in the threaded insert and the inscription on the puller.
ATTENTION!!! In the v2 version, an M2x10 screw is used, for the regular Z1 and PRO. Glue is no longer needed.
To avoid clutter, I will sort the files into folders. New files will be added to the folder with the note v2.
For users who expect full reliability, I recommend using the v2 version. This is just a moment of printing, for the awareness of the greater reliability of the zipper.
