Union 76 Ball with Stand
Print Profile(1)

Description
Retro decoration for petrolheads, man caves, garages, or workshops. The classic Union 76 ball as it was used as an advertising sign at former gas stations. Sphere approximately 24 cm in diameter on a post approximately 15 cm high. Total height almost 40 cm.
Sphere and stand printed separately (2 print plates in the profile).
Sphere is multicolored (AMS required) and produces a lot of poop. Set a low print speed. The sphere is hollow, consists only of wall lines without infill, and supports only in the lower quarter. Fragile! On a bed slinger I recommend a maximum of 100 mm/s with PLA, or slower for a better result. On a Core XY printer, it may be possible to print faster.
The base of the post is quite massive with a high infill density (76%) for weight, so that it stands stably and the sphere does not tip over.
Overall, for sphere, stand, supports, and prime tower, more than 1 kg of filament consumption.
