Description
Feeder for poultry such as chickens, quails and many more.
Variably constructed and can be expanded infinitely with the extension, allowing a very large supply to be placed in the automatic feeder.
Inside with a slope so that the feed is also safely guided forward. The feed holes are hinged upwards to facilitate cleaning. Unlike in a first model (here) the feed outlet is horizontal and not angled. This had the advantage for me that the animals did not throw so much feed onto the ground. However, this circumstance may well also depend on the animals and not only on the construction of the feeder ;-)
The feeder itself, as well as each extension, holds approximately 5 liters of feed.
The hinge in this model is constructed with a 1.75 mm filament thread that is inserted through both parts (flap and main body). The ends can/should be briefly heated and smoothed flat:
The knob of the lid must be glued on, as it is rounded upwards for a good feel.
The extension has a viewing window to see the "level" of the feed. This window can either be printed (template here) or simply cut from Plexiglas (145mm x 40mm x 2mm). Both are ultimately glued in.
