Description

I know there are a few of these handles floating around, but a mix of ‘none really suited me’ and ‘I’m pushing myself to model new things' drove me design this one. I wanted the mini to remain static, and have the handle rotate around, but not freely. I wanted to swap out plates, and I wanted different rest options, and with no need for external hardware. Print it all, print as many as you want!

The rests have 8 stop points, with a satisfying click. You can rotate the full 360, and with the locking plate, will help keep it somewhat resistant to unwanted movement. I've added the finger ring, as it just feel nice to hold, you can just feel the freedom. It also helps to keep that rest right where you want it.

Plates included are 30mm, 40mm and 50mm round.
If your mini doesn't fit (then it's not a mini, it's a medium) it will still work to fit under the base.
All plates will clear all of the rests, so mix it and and find what works for you.

The priming bridge was an afterthought, and I still have some more ideas brewing, it will become the swiss army knife of miniature painting eventually.
There is a bridge for each size base, but as all the threads in this model are the same, you could use the larger bridges for smaller plates too.

Mine are printed in PLA and it all works great, feel free to print in stronger materials and let me know how you though.
Printing one of everything will only take 3 hours, and 90g of fillament.
One full handle with long rest and a 40mm base, 1:20 and 40.4g

The only thing you really need to do it de-burr the threads.
Just get two parts that will screw together, screw them a little bit, then unscrew. keep doing that, getting further and further down.
This will ensure a nice smooth thread.
If you try go in dry, they can get stuck.
