Description

Design

This model was heavily inspired by P-Dirty 8 fighter aircraft by Nate Broach . I really wanted to 3D print this but there was no model available online so I decided to design something similar. Of course this is far from the original design but it is there.

This model exhibits twin engine P-38 style plane. Left and right side has different engine style and propeller. Speaking of propeller, they were generated from “Customizable Propeller Generator”

Print

The 3mf file contains 6 plates to give some ideas to the maker about the color schemes. It is entirely up to you to mix and change the color to get the best look you can think of. The prints are very easy with minimal support possible. The parts are scaled to 150% to show all the details. 0.2mm nozzle can print at 100% scale. Also the parts are small enough to fit A1 mini.

Assembly

The assembly is very straightforward. The connectors are very snug-fit so no need for glues. Only the windshield needs glue to attach to the cockpit. Please see the image below for the assembly:

It is best to start assembling the two bigger frames first and attach them to the middle body (Cockpit).

Feedbacks and suggestions are highly appreciated. Thank you and happy printing!

Edit: Somebody pointed out that this was not a “Jet” and found it very funny it won a place in the “Fighter Jet” competition. I understand my mistake and changed the title and description accordingly.
